Job summary

Thames Water requires a Mechanical & Electrical Technician based at Latton, Cirencester, GL7 5QF. The role involves inspecting, maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical plant to keep sites operational and reduce environmental impact.

You will work a 38-hour week, with standby rota payments and potential overtime. Full PPE, tools, and a van are provided; driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnosing, testing, installing, modifying or repairing mechanical plant and electrical equipment.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and deliver safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to minimise breakdowns.
• Investigate plant failures and perform repairs quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Provide technical guidance and support for trainees as required.
• Work on pumps, motors, controls, VSDs, valves, sensors and PLCs.
