JOB - Mechanical Design Engineer (Automotive/Motorsport)

LOCATION - York

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a specialist engineering company working in the automotive and motorsport sectors, designing high-performance components and systems. They are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in York.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design for automotive or motorsport applications
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Inventor
• Knowledge of materials, assemblies, and manufacturing processes including machining and fabrication
• Ability to produce detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs
• Relevant engineering qualification (HND, HNC, BEng, MEng, or similar)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team

Responsibilities

• Designing components and assemblies for automotive and motorsport applications
