Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to perform inspections, generate PDA reports and maintain daily site checks. You will work with the team to deliver high-quality service to customers and complete used vehicle condition reports.

This role requires an NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance, strong mechanical knowledge, and a full UK driving licence. Occasional travel to BCA sites within the region is expected.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance or equivalent is required.
• Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and EV/Hybrid tech is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication, capable of interacting at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
