Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to conduct inspections, complete condition reports, and support daily site operations across BCA sites in the region.

The role requires NVQ Level 2, strong mechanical knowledge, diagnostics skills, and a full UK driving licence; regular travel is involved, and a bonus scheme is available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template.
• Complete used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
• Travel to various BCA sites within your region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed
