Job summary

Interaction - York is hiring a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in the Cardiff region. The role involves inspections, reporting via PDA, and completing condition reports with the team to ensure high standards of service. Travel to BCA sites within the region is regular, with potential longer trips as required.

The ideal candidate holds an NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance or equivalent, has solid mechanical knowledge, and a full UK license. Hybrid/remote work is not indicated.

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
