Job summary

Interaction - York is looking for a Vehicle Inspector/Technician to join our Bath site. You will inspect vehicles, complete reports, and liaise with customers to ensure high-quality service while travelling between BCA sites as required.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, solid mechanical knowledge, diagnostics awareness, and a full UK driving licence; knowledge of hybrid/electric vehicles is advantageous.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of diagnostics, software updates, and EV/hybrid vehicles advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with team to maintain daily site inspections.

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
