Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to inspect vehicles at multiple BCA sites. Varied shifts: 8.15am–5.45pm, Wed–Sun or Sat–Wed, with a base rate of £13.99 per hour and potential bonuses, aiming for an OTE around £35k.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance, solid mechanical knowledge, and a full UK driving licence. Travel across the region is regular.

Qualifications

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template.
• Complete used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular; travel to further distances may be required.

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed
