Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to perform inspections, report findings, and maintain daily site inspections. The role includes travel to BCA sites within the region and collaboration with customers to ensure high-quality service.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 2 in light vehicle maintenance, have strong mechanical knowledge, and a driving licence. Electric/hybrid vehicle knowledge is a plus, with an 8.15am-5.45pm schedule Wed-Sun or Sat-Wed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance or equivalent required.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles advantageous.
• Excellent written communication and ability to interact at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Job description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
