Job summary

Interaction - York is hiring a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our inspection team in Manchester. You will perform vehicle inspections, complete PDA reports, and produce used vehicle condition reports while ensuring high service quality.

Travel to BCA sites within your region is regular and occasional longer trips may be required; you will collaborate with colleagues to maintain site inspections and communicate with customers.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) required.
• Solid mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections following established procedures and report findings via a PDA report template.
• Complete used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region; regular travel, with longer trips as needed.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
