Job summary

Interaction - York is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to inspect and service vehicles across BCA sites with regular travel. The role operates 8.15am-5.45pm, Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday, with an hourly wage and potential bonuses.

You will perform inspections, complete vehicle condition reports, liaise with customers, and contribute to high-quality service delivery in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance (or equivalent).
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle inspections following established procedures and report findings.

• Collaborate with team to maintain daily site inspections.

• Travel to BCA sites within the region; longer travel when needed.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

£13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus bonus (OTE around £35k)

Hours - 8.15am-5.45pm Wednesday to Sunday OR Saturday to Wednesday

As a Vehicle Inspector, you'll be responsible for:

• Conducting vehicle inspections following established procedures, reporting findings via a PDA report template
• Complete used vehicle condition reports
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery
• Travel to various BCA sites within your agreed region will be regular, however, travel to further distances will be expected if and when needed

What we're looking for

To excel in this role, you must have:

• An NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
• An understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous)
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels
• A full UK driving licence
