Job summary

Interaction - York is hiring a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic in Portsmouth. The role pays £13.99 per hour (£30,917.90k annually) plus a bonus with an OTE around £35k. Working hours are 8:15am-5:45pm, Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Wednesday.

You will inspect vehicles, complete condition reports and liaise with customers to deliver high-quality service. Travel to BCA sites within the region is regular, with potential longer trips when needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software updates, and electric/hybrid vehicles (advantageous).
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete used vehicle condition reports.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain daily site inspections.
• Engage with customer contacts to ensure high quality service delivery.
