Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile professional to join our team as a mechanic, engineer, or car builder. This role is distinct from a typical garage mechanic position, involving the building and partial assembly of Tomcat road and competition cars. Responsibilities include:

1. Building and repairing Tomcat vehicles for road and competition use.
2. Repairing racing damage and servicing vehicles.
3. Working on off-road and track competition vehicles, including builds and fabrication.

The ideal candidate will be a capable mechanic with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills. They should be proficient in electrical system build and repair, possess light fabrication skills, and have experience with fibre glass repairs. Welding and machining skills are a plus but not essential.

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the project engineer alongside other team members and self-employed specialists.

This position can be part-time, suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work, possibly in retirement. The role involves road testing and off-road testing, so a clean UK driving license is required.
