Job Description: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a skilled individual for a versatile role involving building and repairing Tomcat road and competition cars. This role extends beyond a typical garage mechanic, encompassing tasks such as:

1. Building and partially building race and road cars
2. Repairing racing damage and servicing vehicles
3. Working on off-road and track competition vehicles, including fabrication

The ideal candidate should be a capable mechanic with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills. Experience in electrical systems, light fabrication, fibre glass repairs, welding, and machining is preferred but not essential. The role involves working under the project engineer alongside other team members, both permanent and self-employed.

This position can be part-time, making it suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work in retirement. The role requires road testing and off-road testing, so a clean UK driving license is essential.
