Job Description: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder at Tomcat Motorsport Ltd

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile mechanic, engineer, or car builder. This role is distinct from a typical motor garage mechanic position, involving building and partially building Tomcat road and competition cars. Responsibilities include:

1. Repairing and servicing racing damage and off-road/track competition vehicles.
2. Building and fabricating vehicle components.

The ideal candidate should be:

• Capable and resourceful mechanic.
• Proficient in solving technical and build problems.
• Skilled in electrical system repair and build.
• Possessing light fabrication, fibre glass repair, welding, and machining skills (preferred but not essential).

The successful applicant will work under the project engineer alongside other team members, including self-employed personnel. The role can be part-time, suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder in retirement. Travel for road and off-road testing will be required, and a clean UK driving license is essential.
