Job Description: Mechanic / Engineer / Car Builder at Tomcat Motorsport Ltd

Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile mechanic, engineer, or car builder. This role extends beyond a typical garage mechanic position, involving the construction and partial assembly of Tomcat's road and competition cars. The responsibilities include repairs (including racing damage), servicing, and building various off-road and track competition vehicles, as well as fabrication tasks.

The ideal candidate will be a capable mechanic with resourcefulness and problem-solving skills. They should be competent in repairing and building electrical systems, possess light fabrication skills, and have experience with fiberglass repairs. Welding and machining skills are preferred but not essential.

The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the project engineer alongside other permanent staff and self-employed professionals.

This role can be part-time and is suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a career change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work in retirement. The position requires road and off-road testing, so a clean UK driving license is essential.
