Tomcat Motorsport Ltd is seeking a versatile professional to join our team as a mechanic, engineer, or car builder. This role is distinct from a typical garage mechanic position, involving:

1. Building and partial building of Tomcat road and competition cars
2. Repairs and servicing of racing damage
3. Off-road and track competition vehicle repairs, builds, and fabrication

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a capable and resourceful mechanic
• Possess problem-solving skills for technical and build challenges
• Be competent in repairing and building electrical systems
• Have light fabrication skills, experience with fiberglass and repairs
• Possess welding and machining skills (preferred but not essential)

The successful applicant will work under the project engineer and alongside other team members, including self-employed professionals. The position can be offered part-time, suitable for a qualified mechanic seeking a change or a skilled car builder looking for part-time work in retirement. Road testing and off-road testing will be required, and applicants must have a clean UK driving license.
