Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 student in Bradford (BD10). The role offers 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 9am and 4pm, at a pay rate of £20–£30 per hour.

The tutor will deliver tailored Maths sessions and monitor progress to raise the student’s attainment and confidence. Experience in 1:1 tutoring and QTS is preferred, with safeguarding DBS registration and a proactive, patient approach to individual learning needs.

Qualifications

• QTS or teaching qualification (desirable) or previous 1:1 tutoring experience.
• Proven track record of improving student performance.
• Team Teach qualification (desirable).
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable).
• DBS registered on the update service.

About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced Maths tutors to provide 1:1 support to students in the Bradford area. We work with local authorities and councils to arrange these 1:1 tuitions for students currently accessing alternative provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who may require additional support to reach their full potential.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS (desired but not essential) or previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis
• Proven track record of improving student performance
• Team Teach qualification (highly desirable, but not required)
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year is desirable; training can be provided if needed)
• DBS registered on the update service
