Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Maths tutors to provide 1:1 support to a Year 9 student in the Barnsley area. The role is 10 hours per week, held between Monday and Friday, 9am-4pm, with a pay rate of £20-£30 per hour.

You will deliver tailored Maths tutoring, monitor progress and adapt strategies to meet individual learning needs, ensuring safeguarding and DBS compliance. The tutor will work with a Year 9 student currently working below ARE, supporting attainment and confidence through

Qualifications

• QTS (desired but not essential) or previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis
• Proven track record of improving student performance
• Team Teach qualification (highly desirable, but not required)
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year is desirable; training can be provided if needed)
• DBS registered on the update service

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced Maths tutors to provide 1:1 support to students in the Barnsley area. We work with local authorities and councils to arrange these 1:1 tuitions for students currently accessing alternative provision.
