Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting an English Tutor to provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 student in Bradford (BD10). The role runs 10 hours per week, between Monday and Friday, 9am–4pm, with a pay rate of £20–£30 per hour. QTS is desirable but not essential; DBS via update service is required or in place.

This is a meaningful city project helping a learner reach full potential. Ideal candidates will tailor lessons, monitor progress and report feedback to the coordinator.

Qualifications

• QTS is desirable but not essential.
• DBS check (Update Service) preferred.
• Team Teach qualification desirable.
• Safeguarding training up to date preferred.
• References required.

About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced English tutors to provide 1:1 support to students in the Bradford area. We work with local authorities and councils to arrange these 1:1 tuitions for students currently accessing alternative provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who may require additional support to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored 1:1 tutoring session in Maths
• Support students in improving academic performance and confidence
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback

Experience, Training and Qualifications:

• QTS (desired but not essential) or previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis
• Proven track record of improving student performance
• Team Teach qualification (highly desirable, but not required)
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year is desirable; training can be provided if needed)
• DBS registered on the update service
