Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting English and Maths tutors to provide 1:1 support for KS2-KS3 students in the Doncaster area. This role involves delivering tailored tutoring sessions between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, ~5-20 hours per week, with pay rates of GBP20-GBP30 per hour.

Ideal candidates will have or be working towards QTS, a DBS update, and be eligible to work in the UK. Previous 1:1 tutoring experience and safeguarding training are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 1:1 tutoring experience or similar
• QTS is desirable for this role
• DBS check or updated DBS required
• Right to work in the UK required
• Safeguarding training within last year is preferred

Location: Doncaster and surrounding areas
Hours: 5-20 hours a week. To be held between Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm

About the Role

Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and experienced English and Maths tutors to provide 1:1 support to students in the Doncaster area. We work with local authorities and councils to arrange these 1:1 tuitions for students currently accessing alternative provision. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students who may require additional support to reach their full potential.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS (desired but not essential) or previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis
• Proven track record of improving student performance
• Team Teach qualification (highly desirable, but not required)
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued within the last year is desirable; training can be provided if needed)
• DBS registered on the update service

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to apply for one
• Provide two professional references covering the last two years
