Job summary

The Manchester College, part of the LTE Group, invites applications for a full-time Maths Teacher at our Openshaw campus. You will teach across Entry Level 1 to GCSE, delivering inclusive maths education while supporting learners with SEND and EHCPs, and contribute to curriculum development within the Foundation Learning department.

The role offers a 35-hour week, competitive salary, generous pension, and opportunities to train towards QTS/PGCE with support from our Teaching Academy.

Qualifications

• Certificate of education or PGCE
• Current and valid industry specialism
• Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
• Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
• English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above

Responsibilities

• Teach learners from Entry Level 1 through to GCSE, delivering high-quality maths education tailored to meet individual needs, abilities and aspirations.
• Plan and deliver an ambitious and inclusive maths curriculum, adapting teaching approaches, resources and assessment strategies.
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum area and ensure quality standards and objectives are met.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to support positive learner outcomes and continuous improvement across Foundation Learning.
