Job summary

Oldham College in Greater Manchester is seeking a committed Programme Tutor - Maths to support the effective delivery of college services and priorities.

Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons, monitor progress, provide feedback, and differentiate teaching to meet diverse learner needs, including those with SEND. The role emphasises quality assurance, safeguarding, and a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status or working towards with strong Maths background.
• Experience delivering teaching in a learning environment, ideally FE.
• Strong communication skills to engage and inspire learners.
• Ability to differentiate teaching to support diverse learner needs.
• Organised and proactive with accurate progress tracking.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons meeting curriculum and awarding body requirements.
• Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement; address concerns.
• Provide clear targets and timely feedback to support learner development.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs, including SEND.
• Contribute to quality assurance processes and continuous improvement activities.
• Carry out duties in line with College policies, including safeguarding and equality commitments.
