Overview

Alexander Steele are working with a Ambient Food Manufacturer in West Yorkshire which are looking to recruit a Materials Planner.

The ideal candidate has worked in a supply chain planning role previously within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage contracts (4 13 weeks) and call-offs (1 3 weeks) in line with forecasted demand and production plans.
  • Oversee end-to-end supplier management including short/long-term demand, expediting materials, and resolving delivery issues.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, GTM, Commercial, and Procurement to ensure accurate and timely supply.
  • Maintain purchase orders, stock levels, safety stocks, and lead times, ensuring data integrity across Sage and Infor.
  • Monitor KPIs, packaging runout reports, and contracts to maximise efficiency and minimise obsolescence.
  • Support packaging redesigns, delists, and NPD launches.
  • Resolve invoice queries and raise hold/rejection notes in line with agreed procedures.
  • Contribute to S&OP processes, weekly/ad-hoc meetings, and stock take activities.
  • Uphold health & safety, brand integrity, and company policies at all times.
  • Take responsibility for personal development and contribute to projects as required.

On Offer:

  • Annual Salary of circa GBP30,000
  • Monday to Friday - Friday WFH - 40 hours p/w - Office Hours with flexibility
