Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to join its growing engineering team. You will oversee the design, development and delivery of bespoke materials handling systems from concept through to installation and commissioning.

Key tasks include producing GA drawings with SolidWorks and AutoCAD, detailing BOMs, and developing solutions for conveyors and related equipment. You will work with customers, suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure project success and on-site

Qualifications

Experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD to produce GA drawings and detailed designs.
Strong understanding of materials handling equipment or conveyors.
Experience with BOM management and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee projects from concept through installation and commissioning.
Produce 2D/3D GA drawings and system layouts using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Design and develop engineering solutions including conveyors, structures, chutes and related equipment.
Create detailed manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Coordinate with customers, suppliers, project managers, sales and manufacturing teams to deliver projects.
Attend site visits for measurements, installations and commissioning support.
Produce technical specifications, manuals and engineering documentation.
Drive continuous improvement by challenging existing designs.
