Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer position.
• Strong proficiency using Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD software.
• Experience designing fabricated steel, sheet metal, and structural steel products.
• Ability to create detailed manufacturing drawings and understand GD&T/tolerancing principles.
• Excellent communication skills with production and shop floor personnel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical engineering mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fabricated, sheet metal, and steel products for manufacture
• Produce detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
• Manage projects from initial concept through to completion and production release.
• Liaise closely with the shop floor and manufacturing teams to ensure designs can be efficiently produced and assembled.
• Resolve design and manufacturing challenges through effective communication and practical engineering solutions.
• Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and customer requirements.
• Assist with prototyping, testing, and continuous product improvement activities.
• Support project documentation and engineering change processes.
