Orion Electrotech Ltd. is seeking a Project Design Engineer to take ownership of bespoke mechanical and process system projects from concept through installation and handover. The role involves close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to deliver cost-effective, compliant designs.

You will produce detailed SolidWorks models and drawings, develop innovative solutions, and manage documentation, BOMs, and technical specs across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in a Design Engineer/Mechanical Design Engineer/Project Design Engineer role.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D CAD and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience managing bespoke engineering projects from concept to installation.
• Background in process equipment or related mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Manage projects from concept through to manufacture, installation and commissioning.
• Produce detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions based on customer requirements.
• Create assembly drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support shop floor manufacturing and assembly activities.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and customer specifications.
• Track project progress and assist with technical problem-solving.
