Material QC Inspector - Major Energy Project (North Wales)

Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Outside IR35, Full-Time (up to 5.5 days/week when required)

About the Project

We are supporting a major energy project in North Wales. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile development within the energy sector.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Material QC Inspector to join the team. Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, you will ensure all incoming materials and equipment meet project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and verify all incoming materials and equipment against project requirements.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional checks, ensuring integrity and correct marking.
  • Prepare Material Receiving Reports (MRR/MIR) and liaise with the client on deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, certifications, and quality records.
  • Issue inspection reports and manage non-conformity reports.
  • Oversee subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with approved QC plans.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in material control/QC on construction sites within Oil & Gas.
  • Education: Relevant degree or diploma.
  • Technical Skills: QC for structural, mechanical, civil, and electrical equipment; international certifications preferred.
  • IT Skills: MS365, Excel.
