Overview

The Marketing and Communications Assistant will report to the Group's Marketing Manager, working as part of the busy multi-disciplined Marketing and Communications Team to support the brand, marketing and communication needs of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Support the brand, marketing and communication needs of clients as part of the Marketing and Communications Team.
  • Collaborate with agencies, suppliers, the media, and stakeholder groups; manage relationships to support marketing activities.
  • Generate content for different audiences across multiple channels.
  • Manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Contribute to digital, online and social media marketing efforts.
  • Develop and nurture positive working relationships; communicate effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Demonstrate The Sovini Group's values in day-to-day activities (Success, Passion, Authenticity, Courage, Enterprise).
  • Operate with minimal supervision when required and work as part of a team or independently to meet deadlines.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5 GCSEs (grade A to C) including English, or other level 2 qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience in a marketing and communications role.
  • Experience working as part of a team dealing with competing priorities.
  • Experience dealing with agencies, suppliers, the media, and customer and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience generating content for different audiences; understanding of digital, online and social media as marketing channels.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills; ability to work with minimal supervision to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills across Microsoft Teams, face-to-face and email.
  • Ability to develop and nurture positive working relationships; proactive approach to professional development.
Desirable / Beneficial (but not essential)
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent; professional qualification in marketing, events or communications.
  • Event management experience; best practice writing and proofreading techniques.
  • Knowledge of website and intranet content management systems (CMS).
  • Ability to liaise with and negotiate with suppliers, contractors, the media and stakeholder groups.
  • Good understanding of equality and diversity in marketing activities.
  • Competence with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Photoshop (or similar editing suites) and PowerPoint.
  • Driving Licence and access to own vehicle.
