Our client, a Marine Claims Consultancy, is seeking a Marine Claims Handler to join their expanding Recoveries department in the Kent office. The role involves managing a caseload of Marine Claims.

Main Duties

1. Managing a caseload of Claims
2. Handling recoveries from start to finish
3. Negotiating settlements
4. Reviewing documentation to determine liability
5. Liaising with clients, Brokers, and Underwriters
6. Handling fee income
7. Maintaining relationships at all levels

Essential Skills Required

• Previous experience within Marine Claims
• Experience with defendant and/or recoveries of claims
• Good IT skills

Desirable

• Good organisation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Law degree achieved
