Job description

This hybrid role is based in our Ipswich office and offers the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across our global network-including London, Mumbai, and other WTW offices-as well as with clients, insurers, and other key stakeholders involved in the claims process., As a Claims Handler, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality claims service to our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing marine claims from first notification of loss through to settlement.
  • Providing expert guidance and support to clients throughout the claims journey.
  • Ensuring service delivery meets or exceeds agreed standards and client expectations.
  • Collaborating with WTW's global claims community to share knowledge and best practices.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, carriers, and external partners.
Qualifications
  • Experience in handling marine or complex commercial claims (level of seniority will depend on experience).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A client‑focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environment.
  • Proactive, organized, and detail‑oriented approach.
  • Preferably working towards the CII qualification.
  • Preferably educated to A level standard or relevant industry experience.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong understanding of claims processes and factors that impact settlement/loss.
  • Understanding of Lloyd's and the London Market.
  • Industry Compliance Awareness, Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and complex tasks simultaneously.
