We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician - Milling to join our team at our manufacturing site in Basingstoke.

Hours: Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm & 2pm – 10pm, alternating weekly.

The role:

As Manufacturing Technician - Milling, you will operate the manufacturing plant in the Flexible Manufacturing Unit.

Key duties and responsibilities:

1. Loading and unloading billets and piece parts into CNC Machining Centres for manufacturing processes.
2. Operating CNC equipment to produce parts as assigned.
3. Monitoring machines to detect equipment or process errors.
4. Stopping machines and reporting if necessary to prevent failures.
5. Maintaining machines and equipment used.
6. Monitoring and taking responsibility for the quality of components using a wide range of equipment including CMM inspection.
7. Completing production documentation, written and electronic.

What are we looking for?

As Manufacturing Technician - Milling, you will have the following:

Essential skills:

1. Previous experience in operating vertical and horizontal machining centres manufacturing close tolerance prismatic parts safely and efficiently.
2. Previous experience of accurately using standard manual measuring equipment and gauges.
3. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in English furnished in either written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
4. Basic PC skills.
5. Good mechanical aptitude and excellent hand/eye coordination.
6. Familiarity with hand deburring tools.
7. Ability to undertake repetitive tasks consistently and accurately to verbal or written instructions.
8. Strong attention to detail.
9. Self-motivated and reliable.
