Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment firm is seeking a Manufacturing Technician II in Birmingham. The role involves managing your workload, overseeing inventory, and maintaining equipment. Manufacturing Technician II - Birmingham

The Opportunity
  • Location: Birmingham
  • Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour (Salary equivalent: £26,312).
  • Contract: 6 Months (Full-time).
  • Shift: 07:00 am - 3:30 pm, 40 hours per week.
  • Overtime: Sporadically when needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Workload Management: Independently manage your own workload against a published plan and take responsibility for completing work "right first time".
  • Inventory Control: Manage inventory to ensure materials are available and accurately transacted to complete assigned work.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Own and perform scheduled activities for designated equipment, areas, or functions.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvement initiatives across all aspects of your work.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting.
  • Education: GCSE level or equivalent with 1 year of experience, or a relevant degree.
  • Top Skills: Technical competence with machinery.
  • A strong quality and compliance mindset in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Technical Literacy: Proficient in IT, specifically Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to carry out complex instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working within a cGMP environment.
  • Proven background in workload management.
