Job summary

MTrec Technical is seeking a permanent Manufacturing Technician to join our on-site team in the UK. You will assist with small engineering projects and support maintenance activities to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, lubrication, and condition monitoring, with strong communication and IT literacy. A safety-conscious teammate who collaborates well with others will thrive in this environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Proficient with IT systems and data entry.
• Experience with lubrication and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Aware of health and safety regulations and practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage and action all on-site service activities.
• Apply and adjust lubricants and fluids per maintenance schedules.
• Monitor fluids, plant equipment, and report via in-house systems.
• Manage waste streams to safe disposal off-site.
• Liaise with customers and assist in meetings.

MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious manufacturing client in their 2025 recruitment initiative. We are supporting their recruitment by recruiting a permanent Manufacturing Technician, to join their team. A successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with small engineering projects.

The job you’ll do:

• Manage and action all activities required of the on-site service.
• Apply and change lubricants and fluids to agreed planned maintenance schedules
• Condition monitoring and control of fluids and plant equipment, and reporting using our company in-house system.
• Manage waste streams to safe disposal off‑site
• Customer liaison and assisting in meetings
• Follow strictly practices and procedures laid down including 5s and Health & Safety.

About you:

• You will have a proven background within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
• A strong communicator, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
• You may be from a machine operating background, where you have set up, stripped, cleaned and reassembled equipment.
• You will be a team player and take a collaborative approach to project work.
• You will be IT literate and confident in the use of various systems.
• Health and Safety conscious, with a strong focus on maintaining the highest standards within the workplace
