Job summary

MTrec Recruitment’s client is seeking a permanent Manufacturing Technician to join their team. You will assist with small engineering projects and have a background in mechanical, production or chemical manufacturing.

You will manage on-site service activities, apply lubricants, monitor plant condition, and help ensure health and safety compliance with 5S standards. The role offers day shift, training, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or engineering sector.
• Strong communication and customer service focus.
• Background in machine operating, setting up, cleaning, and reassembly preferred.
• Team player with collaborative approach to projects.
• IT literacy and experience with various systems.
• Health and safety conscious with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and action all activities required of the on-site service.
• Apply and change lubricants and fluids to planned maintenance schedules.
• Monitor fluids and plant equipment and report via company in-house system.
• Manage waste streams to safe off-site disposal.
• Liaise with customers and assist in meetings.
• Follow practices and procedures including 5S and Health & Safety.

The job you’ll do:

• Manage and action all activities required of the on-site service.
• Apply and change lubricants and fluids to agreed planned maintenance schedules
• Condition monitoring and control of fluids and plant equipment, and reporting using our company in-house system.
• Manage waste streams to safe off-site disposal
• Customer liaison and assisting in meetings
• Follow strictly practices and procedures laid down including 5s and Health & Safety.

About you:

• You will have a proven background within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
• A strong communicator, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
• You may be from a machine operating background, where you have set up, stripped, cleaned and reassembled equipment.
• You will be a team player and take a collaborative approach to project work.
• You will be IT literate and confident in the use of various systems.
• Health and Safety conscious, with a strong focus on maintaining the highest standards within the workplace.
