Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician for their Loughborough facility. The role involves inspecting and assembling laboratory consumables, operating packaging equipment, and ensuring quality standards. Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant experience in a manufacturing or lab setting and a High School Diploma. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, assemble, and package laboratory consumables.

  • Promote teamwork and assist in other departments.

Manufacturing Technician – Loughborough

Location: Bishop Meadow Road, Loughborough

The Opportunity

Are you detail-oriented with experience in a manufacturing or lab setting? Join our team as a Manufacturing Technician in the Laboratory Products Division, supporting vital research, diagnostic, and clinical environments. This hands‑on role involves ensuring the highest quality of our laboratory consumables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection & Assembly: Inspect, assemble, and package laboratory consumables to defined specifications and quality standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Set up and operate packaging and labelling equipment, including printing labels using approved software.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete required paperwork (Batch Records, ECNs, etc.) and input downtime data.
  • Quality Control: Assist with in-process and finished goods inspections (Quality Control/Peer Review).
  • Maintenance: Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on labelling equipment.
  • Teamwork: Promote a positive environment and cross‑train/assist in other departments as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Education: High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent.
  • Experience (Required): Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, or lab setting.
  • (Preferred) Experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Skills: Good verbal/written communication, IT literate (Microsoft Office), ability to follow instructions, multi‑task, and prioritise.
