An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated manufacturing technician to join our team at our site in Edinburgh.

We are looking for individuals with a range of assembly and testing experience to join our space clean room environment working on some of the most cutting edge technology within the space sector. This is a great opportunity for someone from either a space background or potentially a manufacturing and engineering discipline to join our company with great prospects.

Manufacturing Technician responsibilities

• Hand assembly of Microwave Components, using soldering techniques

• Mechanical Assembly following a prescribed build process

• Following detailed assembly instructions

• Microwave testing using network analysers

• Following detailed test instructions

• Fault finding on microwave products

• Carrying out visual quality checks and packing

• Labelling of finished parts

• Ability to identify manufacturing improvements

Qualifications

• Understanding of microwave signals or electrical circuitry

• Previous Skills working within an Assembly and, or Manufacturing environment

• Excellent attention to detail

• Proven competence in a similar role

• Demonstrate excellent dexterity and hand to eye co-ordination

• Work as part of a team

• Good time keeping

• Must be flexible

• Show Initiative
