Job summary

Interface Recruitment is seeking an IT Support & Systems Technician for a fully site-based role in Hull, East Yorkshire. You'll keep the wheels turning on the shop floor by providing 1st/2nd line IT support, maintaining manufacturing-critical systems, and assisting with desktop, application, and hardware issues.

You’ll work closely with office and production staff, translate tech problems into plain English, and contribute to ongoing hardware refreshes and new technology rollouts.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support (desktop & application support).
• Good understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with both hardware and software.
• Excellent communication skills for working with office staff and shop floor teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st & 2nd line IT support to office and production staff
• Troubleshoot and maintain business applications used for manufacturing, logistics, and operations
• Support and configure PCs, printers, and shop floor terminals
• Ensure smooth running of business-critical manufacturing systems
• Work with the IT team on hardware refreshes, upgrades, and new tech rollouts
• Translate tech problems into plain English for non-technical colleagues
