Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking an IT Support Technician for a site-based role in Leek, Monday to Friday. You will be the first point of contact for IT across office and production areas, resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues to keep production moving.

You will support Microsoft 365, manage devices, assist with joiners/leavers, and follow IT security policies. The role suits hands‑on problem solvers who can communicate clearly with non-technical colleagues and maintain

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, helpdesk or a similar role, or a relevant IT qualification or training.
• Good working knowledge of Windows and a basic understanding of Microsoft 365.
• Solid troubleshooting skills and a good understanding of computers, peripherals and mobile devices.
• Strong communication skills; able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
• Well organised; able to prioritise competing requests and know when to escape.
• A professional, reliable approach and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Providing first-line support to office and operational users, resolving issues at first contact wherever possible
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and connectivity issues, logging all activity in the service-management system
• Setting up and maintaining laptops, desktops, tablets, printers and scanners, and keeping accurate asset records
• Supporting Microsoft 365, password and MFA issues, and managing the IT side of joiners, movers and leavers
• Following IT security policies and reporting suspected incidents immediately
• Providing first-line support for ERP and other business systems
• Responding promptly to issues affecting production and assisting with rollout of new equipment and systems

Our client, an established manufacturer in Leek, North Staffordshire, is looking for a hands‑on IT Support & Systems Technician to keep their site running smoothly. You'll be the first point of contact for IT across both the office and the operational floor, supporting production, warehouse, quality and planning teams who rely on their systems every day.

You'll resolve what you can and escape what you can't. If you enjoy practical IT work where a quick fix keeps production moving, this is for you.
