Job description

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong electronics focus to join a growing, innovative manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes for both new and existing electronic and electromechanical products.

This is a hands‑on role working closely with R&D, production, and quality teams to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, consistently, and to the highest quality standards. You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives, help transfer new products to production, and support troubleshooting and fault‑finding across electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, document, and implement manufacturing processes and systems for electronic and electromechanical products.
  • Maintain and improve current production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Support R&D teams to make new products cost‑effective and manufacturable at scale.
  • Lead the transfer of new products into production and implement design changes efficiently.
  • Create and maintain Work Instructions, assembly procedures, and training materials.
  • Troubleshoot and provide solutions for manufacturing challenges in electronics and mechanical systems.
  • Collect, analyse, and report process and production data to support continuous improvement.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives across the organisation.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and champion relevant technology adoption.
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a modern electronics/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic systems, fault‑finding, and assembly processes.
  • Hands‑on experience with manufacturing tooling, assembly aids, and work instructions.
  • Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and experience with production software/databases.
  • Understanding of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies (Green Belt desirable).
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to lead and influence cross‑functional teams and work independently.
  • Resilient, motivated, and adaptable to a fast‑paced, continuously improving environment.
Additional Desirable Skills
  • Experience with software scripting (Python, AutoIt) or database management.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to plan and prioritise projects effectively.
