Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Manufacturing and Testing Assistant in Birmingham. Manufacturing and Testing Assistant

Location: Birmingham

Hours: 8:00-16:30, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour

Join our team to help manufacture and test medical devices. You will follow established procedures, maintain equipment, complete documentation, and ensure high-quality production. This role also supports other departments as needed to help meet delivery and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the manufacturing and testing of medical devices
  • Maintain, clean, and calibrate equipment
  • Accurately complete production records, worksheets, and documentation
  • Use the ERP system for tracking work and accessing documents
  • Report progress, issues, and delays to the supervisor
  • Work collaboratively with the team and help plan daily tasks
  • Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures
  • Ensure work meets regulatory and company standards
  • Perform additional duties as required
What You Need
Essential:
  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Good communication and time management
Desirable:
  • A Levels or a science-related degree
  • Lab, production, or GMP experience
  • Knowledge of health & safety processes
Personal Qualities
  • Friendly, reliable, organised
  • Good timekeeping
  • Willing to learn and help where needed
  • Flexible to do occasional overtime
Work Environment
