Victaulic is seeking an Engineering Business Developer to cover Northern England, with a focus on Manchester. You will lead strategic business development, strengthen specification standing, and drive the market box strategy by engaging owners and engineers.

The role requires a mechanical engineering or construction management background, proven sales and account management experience, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or construction management preferred.
• Sales experience in commercial construction or engineering fields.
• Proven track record in business development, sales, and account management.
• Strong contacts within healthcare, aviation, commercial and residential sectors.
• Engineering skills in writing design specifications a plus.
• Excellent project management and communication abilities.
• Autonomous leader who collaborates in a high-skill team.
• Willingness to travel overnight; Manchester living or surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Strategically evaluate territory with the Regional BDM to target accounts.
• Develop annual business plans to elevate Victaulic's specification standing with a market box strategy.
• Drive penetration and expansion of Victaulic influence in engineering accounts.
• Leverage Salesforce to capture and share account and project details with the sales team.
• Facilitate effective project handoffs with the sales team.
• Gain comprehensive knowledge of product features, market and competitive positioning.
• Cultivate and foster industry connections with clients and prospects.
• Stay abreast of market trends and competitor dynamics.
• Engage with local trade organizations and professional associations.
• Travel as required; fulfill additional duties as assigned.
