Job summary

Victaulic is seeking an Engineering Business Developer to cover Northern England, with a focus on Manchester. The role leads strategic business development, elevating specification standing via a market box strategy, and gathering market intelligence to inform project scopes of work.

You will engage owners and engineers, shape master and project specs, and work with the sales team using Salesforce to share account details.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or construction management.
• Proven sales, business development, and account management experience in commercial construction or engineering.
• Mechanical engineering contacts within healthcare, aviation, commercial, or residential sectors.
• Strong writing and development of design specifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategically evaluate the assigned territory and collaborate with the Regional Business Development Manager to prioritize target accounts.
• Develop and execute an annual business plan to elevate Victaulic's specification standing through master and project specifications and owner guidelines.
• Drive penetration and expansion of Victaulic's influence within engineering accounts by crafting and fortifying guidelines and project specifications.
• Leverage Salesforce to capture, share, and coordinate account and project details with the commercial sales team.
• Facilitate effective project handoffs at the appropriate phase of the project lifecycle with the sales team.
• Cultivate industry connections with clients and prospects and stay updated on market trends and competitor dynamics.
