Qualifications

Job description

You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with financial controls policy & procedure, escalation of control issues and communicating key financial controls messages across the virtual finance teams for your designated business area. You will deliver the business planning and management accounting processes for the designated business area for OPEX and CAPEX, driving continuous improvement of processes, communicating key messages and timescales to stakeholders. The budget areas you will be responsible will be of a mid-size and complexity.

Responsibilities
  • Produce financial budgets and forecasts for your designated business area.
  • Act as the single point of contact for assigned budget holders for provision of all financial data and information.
  • Work with your team and the Financial Controller to ensure key milestones and budget objectives are built into the timetable and plan.
  • Ensure compliance with the budget timetable and process.
  • Drive standardised continuous improvement in the budget process in conjunction with your team.
  • Deliver the forecasting process for the designated business area, challenge assumptions in the bottom‑up process and ensure forecasts reflect an appropriate balance of risk and opportunity.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Finance professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in managing stakeholders.
  • Experience in producing actuals, forecasts and budgets.
  • Experience with management accounting.
  • Experience in compliance with financial controls and processes.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of, and application of, financial reporting and analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, SAP analysis and reporting applications) to provide high‑quality outputs.
