Job description
Maintenance Technician (Air-Con) (Night-Shift)

This position ensures that all aspects of building and facilities maintenance in the Schools are kept at optimum operational condition and conform to up-to-date regulatory and safety requirements at all times.

This role operates on a night-shift schedule from 10:00pm to 7:00am, Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preventative maintenance and ensure all facilities operate efficiently and conform to operating standards.
  • Hands-on in meeting urgent repairs/complaints on electrical services, plumbing, and sanitary requests.
  • Proper maintenance of interior and exterior walls of buildings, appliances, and equipment in the building.
  • Conduct day-to-day inspection activities, checking building wear & tear and defects.
  • Mobilise and supervise contractors on major / rectification works.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety regulations.
  • Comply with company safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure accurate updates/reports are completed for all work progress and completion.
  • Monitor and control expenses within all areas of the department.
  • Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Any other duties assigned, including support for new school projects.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Diploma / Higher Nitec / Nitec with 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant working experience in major building maintenance or construction projects.
  • Possess a Class 2B / 3 licence with own transport.
