Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Diagnose faults during critical equipment breakdowns.
  • Manage replacement tooling in production areas.

Join Our Team as a Maintenance Technician!

Location: WSM
Department: Facilities, Maintenance & Tooling Department
Reports to: Factory Services & Project Manager
Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (9-day fortnight)
Salary: £35,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, ensuring records of work and parts used to minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Diagnose faults during critical equipment breakdowns to quickly resume production.
  • Assist with production line moves and supervise contractors on-site.
  • Manage replacement tooling in production areas and liaise with suppliers for component sourcing at optimal costs.
  • Collaborate with the Factory Services & Project Manager and other technical professionals for overall reliability and safety improvements in plant, personnel, and processes.
  • Support general building maintenance tasks as needed.
What You Bring:
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills but that can be taught
  • Maintenance experience on conveyor belts, large machines
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with personnel and overseeing contractors.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; experience with CNC machines is advantageous.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proficiency in electrical fault diagnosis and mechatronic control systems is desirable not essential
  • A strong ability to prioritise tasks and work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to put up a shelf, mend a toilet seat or put up a picture!
