Static Technical Supervisor – Facilities Maintenance

Location: Reading
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent

Our client, a leading facilities management service provider, is seeking a Static Technical Supervisor to be based on a flagship commercial site in Reading. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer or supervisor to take ownership of technical service delivery and lead a dedicated team on site.

The Role As the Static Technical Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day technical operations of the site, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance tasks are delivered safely, on time, and to the required standards. You will provide leadership and support to the engineering team and subcontractors, while acting as the key technical point of contact for the client. Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, health and safety, and company procedures will be central to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support engineers and subcontractors on site.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across all M&E building services systems.
  • Ensure statutory and health & safety compliance at all times.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison with the client.
  • Provide hands-on technical support when required.
  • Manage scheduling, reporting, and audits to ensure service delivery standards are met.
  • Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance within the team.

Candidate Requirements

  • Recognised qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of building services, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a maintenance team within a commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver effective solutions.

Package

  • £50,000 per annum, permanent contract.
  • Monday to Friday, 40-hour working week.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
