Maintenance Operative :

The role is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of buildings, equipment, and outdoor grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment.

Key activities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on facilities on the farm, packing centre and site
• Maintain outdoor areas: mowing lawns, trimming hedges, planting, and seasonal landscaping.
• Inspect and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Ensure pathways, parking areas, and grounds are safe and free from hazards.
• Carry out painting, cleaning, and basic construction tasks as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Always comply with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, or similar roles.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs.
• Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Additional Requirements

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Combination of indoor and outdoor work.
• Requires PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
• May involve occasional weekend or emergency call‑outs.
