Forterra Building Products in Newark/ Kirton Engineering Team is seeking an enthusiastic Maintenance Fitter to carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs for production lines. You will work to safe systems of work, risk assessments and PPE protocols to minimise downtime.

The role requires in-house mechanical training and City & Guilds/ONC qualifications, with training allowances including induction and safety modules. A proactive mindset and commitment to site safety are essential.

Qualificações

• In-house mechanical training and experience required.
• City and Guilds and ONC qualifications preferred.
• Commitment to safety, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out repairs to production breakdowns in an efficient and safe manner.
• Carry out shop work duties in an efficient and safe manner.
• Report all defects to superiors.
• Carry out all maintenance in an efficient and safe manner.
• Ensure correct PPE is worn at all times.
• Ensure all risk assessment/ safe system of work/ permit to work are adhered to.
• Report all health and safety concerns to management.
