Job summary

Probe UK is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Fitter for their day shift to support a wide range of plant and equipment in a stable manufacturing environment.

You will join an established maintenance team, carrying out planned and reactive work, with opportunities to use your hydraulic, pneumatic and welding skills on site.

Qualifications

• Formal mechanical qualifications and apprentice training are required.
• Proven experience maintaining plant and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with heavy hydraulic and pneumatic systems is desirable.
• Welding ability is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Work within an experienced maintenance team to minimise breakdowns.
• Support hydraulic and pneumatic systems and ensure reliability.
• Maintain safe, compliant and efficient operations on day shift.

We are a well-established and highly respected engineering business operating within a stable industry sector and have a full order book! Our maintenance team supports a wide range of plant and equipment with established systems in place, helping to ensure minimal breakdowns and a smooth running operation. We are currently looking to recruit an Experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our day shift team.

Duties of a Maintenance Fitter

As a maintenance fitter, you’ll be working within an experienced and established team of maintenance engineers undertaking both planned and reactive maintenance across our plant.

Requirements of a Maintenance Fitter

As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, you must hold formal mechanical qualifications (and ideally be apprentice trained) with proven experience of supporting plant and equipment within a robust manufacturing environment that has seen you support heavy hydraulic and pneumatic applications and ideally also have some form of welding ability.
