Job summary

Morrisons in Wales seeks a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve packaging and production equipment on our manufacturing site. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose breakdowns and coordinate repairs to minimise downtime.

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will perform machine adjustments, calibrations, and support process improvements while adhering to health & safety and HACCP guidelines.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• ONC mechanical/electrical engineering or BTEC Level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering are desirable qualifications.
• Experience with maintenance of FMCG production lines and packaging equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment, identifying and resolving issues before disruptions.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns, diagnose problems, and perform repairs or coordinate with external specialists as needed.
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to support production line efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Monitor and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy, quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvement opportunities and provide technical input to boost productivity.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities including schedules, repairs and spare parts inventory.
